Best Home & Interiors Shops for All Budgets

I have a problem in that I find out about a furniture store, I take a note of it, and then when I’m looking for furniture, I write it down. This has left me with an issue that it takes me forever to find furniture, and when I do eventually find something I like, I go for something too expensive and anything else just wont’t do. So I’m trying to help you here with giving you shops for your budget - make sure you don’t go creeping into too high of a tier as you may not enjoy the bill at the end of the month!

On a budget

Dunelm - If you’re into some striking pieces but on a budget you can’t go wrong with dun elm, we’ve bought rugs for rooms we’re going to knock through in a few years, dressing tables from furniture we like which is in trend now but concerned won’t be in trend or to our taste when we do the extension. We’ve even got curtains in my parents house, black out and uber soft. Considering the prices, the quality is remarkable, and like IKEA, easy to assemble the products yourself.

Ikea - my entire walk in wardrobe is from here, I built them myself, super customisable and easy to put up, also our desks, essentially 80% of our interim furniture. We can make it cheap and cheerful whilst being able to trust the quality.

Mid-range

I personally love CharlesTed, my most favourite item I have got, my beloved Laural console table is from here. My desired side tables and side lamps are from here too, but they no longer sell them.  They do high quality pieces in light wooden tones, you can be sure the item you purchase will be timeless

Laura Ashley - The best sofas in town. My one negative with Laura Ashley is how difficult it is to see things in person before purchase, which is fundamental to me for a strong buy. However, our lighting is quirky, different, fun and classy all in one, it turned my walk in wardrobe into the glam room and my hallway into an entrance.

The White Company - My love of the white company stems from when I had terribly bad eczema and they were the only company that did super soft clothing that didn’t aggravate my skin. Ever since, their homeward hasn’t let me down either - their beds are beautiful, and in an array of sizes up to emperor. I have their Symons double row cord 1000 thread count bedlinen, which feels like silk and looks beautiful. We also have their flannel bedlinen which keeps us cosy in the winter, and of course you can’t go wrong with their scents.

Neptune - whilst a lot of pieces can be replicated for cheaper, their innovation in furniture is undeniable, the quality phenomenal, and the experience of the shop is second to none. From being the only company I’ve seen to do a heated airing cupboard since I saw it on cribs in the 00s, to inspirational kitchen storage, calming wall colours and even giving me the inspiration to wrap presents for a personalised advent calendar for my family, this shop is just a joy.

High - end

Ralph Lauren - my go to for fashion and homeware, you can guarantee timeless quality products, there is a room that has inspired me for our guest bedroom that’s in Selling sunset of which I’m sure is all from Ralph Lauren, and our hall lamp is the hurricane lamp. The Ralph Lauren pieces are elegant, timeless classics, that just aren’t replicated elsewhere.

Hardware Restoration - picture the Hamptons having a furniture store. Their new Aynhoe Park HR experience is an exhibition, where you feel at home whilst seeing how the other half live. Whilst I’ve put this is the more expensive list, you do manage to find great pieces at a reasonable price if you keep looking, see my blog post here.

Louise Bradley Interiors - You may need £7,000 for a mirror, however it will be one of the most gorgeous mirrors you’ve seen and the only place I’ve been able to find a single-pane antiqued glass mirror large enough for my hallway

Lux Deco - If you’ve seen something beautiful in a gorgeous home, chances are you’ll be able to find it on here. From gorgeous side tables to striking lighting it’s got it all.

Soho Home - A luxury home interiors retailer that offers a wide range of high-end furniture, lighting, and accessories. Soho Home is a great place to find unique and stylish pieces that will make your home stand out and make you think your living in a Soho House!
